My name is Alejandra Rodríguez Sánchez and I am a sociologist working in critical demography and computational social science. I am interested in the multiple ways in which traditional and innovative data sources, statistics, and machine learning can be used to uncover hidden structures in society.
Currently working as a postdoc at the University of Potsdam in the HORIZON 2020 MIRREM project.
I studied BA’s Economics and Sociology at the Universidad del Valle, in Colombia, and later moved to Germany, where I currently reside, for my graduate studies. I hold a MSc. in Statistics and completed my PhD in Sociology at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin.
